On 9/11, We Remember

by Jan Mundo

Each year since 9/11/01, I listen to the reading of the names, the remembrances, and the chamber music on TV, as I watched the memorials of JFK and Princess Diana. I feel it in my body and mourn the losses, although I didn’t personally lose anyone. I remember feeling the fear, even 3,000 miles away, as rumors of copycat bombings spread all the way to Lake County, CA. Some mourners have moved on with their lives, most never will. So sad what we do to each other. May peace and love prevail, and their memory be for a blessing.
